Evaluation of findings

By deconstructing and analysing these various music magazines, covers, contents pages and double page spreads I have found how successful music magazines which are currently doing well on the market are set out and the different features and conventions they use. I have used my findings from these deconstructions to influence how I have designed my own music magazine, for example I have noticed that the most effective front covers have a main image with the subject staring into the camera lens making eye contact with the target audience, therefore having a connection with them and drawing them into the magazine. I have also found out the type of language and the numerous conventions I should use within the magazine to help my target audience understand and enjoy reading my magazine. I have learned from the double page spreads I have reviewed which would be the best, most professional looking layout for my interview and how to not make the pages look too cluttered and an eye soar. I have learned from the contents pages  I have studied that it is effective to use different images with a vary of text sizes to connote the importance of different articles, but also how to not go overboard with the features on the contents page as this could make it confusing ad harder for the audience to understand.
